How do i get a boyfriend/ the kid i like now?

i haven't had a boyfriend since 6th grade, ive only had 2, and im going into 8th. i don't want to be a slut but i miss having one. i liked this kid ryan, and his locker was right next to mine. we would always talk and i hugged him on the last day of school and he hugged me back and it made my day but i ruined it once again because i was going to put a letter in his locker saying i liked him and i had my fone number on it but i couldn't do it and i cried on the bus. now its vacation and i wont get my locker next to his and i lost my chance, should i ask someone for his number then text him or just forget about him... help..
