Why are there so many feral cats in my neighborhood all of a sudden?

Many residents of other areas may have noticed that the TNR effort was happening in your neighborhood, so they hauled the cats into your area hoping that they will get proper care that they themselves cannot afford to give to them. We live next to a game preserve so we get 50 to 100 feral cats dumped in our area each year, I assume the dumpers are hoping that the cats will be cared for or be able to fend for themselves in the preserve.
