What so wrong wi wanting to be happy?

i have been with my partner for 8 n half years n i just feel 2nd best all the time he always puts what his family want n what they say first n it really gets to me we have spoken bout all this and fallen out over it but when we make up he says hes goin to put me first and talk to me wen he has a problem and not run away back to his dad n sisters n brothers n leave me just not nowin whats happend but he never does he will stick to what he says for a few week then he will go back to normal n when i confront him all i get is the fone down on me or what ever dont start ....but i really dnt trust him n its making me feel really **** i just dnt no wat t do???
