Should we strip Homeowners Associations (HOA) of power & limit deed restrictions so more will wanna buy a Home?

I really have to agree with you... At least to a point. My mother's association doesn't allow pets... even totally indoor ones. My mother wants to sell her home, but many seniors want to have pets. This is limiting her ability to sell her home in a down market. My brother would consider buying her home and living there... but he wants to bring his pets with him. HOAs adversely affect the ability of owners to buy/sell homes.
