Can you sue anyone that tresspasses on your property if you dislike them or for any other reason?

I have been wondering if it would be legal to set up a camera/warning system that says that if somone steps more than five feet onto my lawn that I will sue them for tresspassing. I really just want to do this to avoid those stupid salespeople, members of possible HOAs and people trying to get me to do something that I do not want to do.
