How to deal with HOA?

live a small community that is mostly occupied by young families and single overweight mothers. All the stay at home parents are part of the HOA board and they have been giving both my roomate and I **** about every little thing possible. I check the oil in my car and someone comes out to talk to me. Then they gave me **** about having a motorcycle, both my roomate and I ride. Then apparently after living there for 6 months I am required to have a permanent parking decal vs rear view mirror hang pass. What does it matter, our tow company doesnt even enforce rules unless one of them calls and complains. They had my roomates brand new car towed the day he got it. They are honestly just a bored bunch. Can I file a harassment complaint against them somehow? Mind you I am a very reasonable and patient person but I am about to lose it on these people
