How to remove an HOA?

The community we live in has a horrible HOA. It is a company that is put in charge of the community. I have yet to find a person who likes the employes of the HOA. I don't think it would be hard to gain the support of the community. What can we do to get them out of power get a new company, what are the steps? Any advice would be great.
