How to let your parents get a phone/get a free verizon phone?

I have a verizon phone and got it taken away....i have had it taken away for the past five monther because i broke my last fone and my parents said that i cant get another 1 until my b-day because i will brake it and i dont deserve it and they think it will destract me from skool. and my birthday is 10 monthes away!! help!
