Is there really a Black Tabby?

I asked a question before and mentioned that my boy Ace is all black with some white strand randomly throughout his coat. But when the sun is the brightest and he`s basking in the sun, thats when you see his stripes. But that`s the only time you see his stripes. Im asking this question from my fone, so i`m not able to upload a picture. But i assure you he`s black. His son on the other hand i can definatly can say hes a dark brwn tabby and the tabby stripes are very prominent. My question is.....Is there a big possibility i just might have a black tabby. Cats color genetics are so strange and complex. AND since this is true, i believe i might have a beautiful discovery. Please give me feed back!!!! Lmao
