Nice looking quick patio out back that will pass HOA?

I live on the end row townhouse in a gated community. Almost all the other houses have decks, but mine doesn't. I'm also renting, so I don't want to invest money into my own deck. My wife and I really want to put a patio set out back so we can have BBQ's, etc. The area is very visible from the road. Is there a way to put in a temporary patio that will look good? We have a fairly strict HOA that will have to approve it I'm sure. But I've seen other people with permanent concrete/brick patios - and I'm wondering if there's a product out there I can do quickly that will be low cost.
